The Allure You Can't Afford To Let Go Of

This is a contributed post.

We’ve already looked at how a long-term couple are different from those in a new relationship. Most of us expect at least some changes as we go from falling in love to being in love. Your man becomes an extension of you. He is your family. But, think twice before you start treating him like it. You may think the wooing days are over, but don’t be so hasty. Letting the allure drop does have a charm of its own. Your man may find some of your more disgusting habits cute. But, there’s a line you shouldn’t cross. You want him to think you're charming, not repulsive.

Going without makeup, or letting him hear you burp is one thing. Not showering for three days and farting under the sheets is another. You’re human. We’re all flawed. But, though your man loves you, he could always change his mind. Letting things slide too far could see your relationship down the drain. Things you should always keep in check are: hygiene, crazy behaviour (no, he will not think it’s cute that you talk to yourself), and irrational thoughts. Other people just won’t love those things about you as much as you do. Of course, there’s no need to go all out with keeping things together. Yes, you want to smell nice for your man. But, you don’t want to spend full whack anymore. Instead, something like these Boston Store coupons & promo codes 2017 will ensure you’re staying a little glamorous without breaking the bank. He can’t expect you to put in the same amount of effort as you did before. Who can afford to keep that going for long?

Yes, you heard right. It’s an age old argument - do you feel comfortable enough to go to the toilet in front of him? People miss the point. It’s not about whether you feel comfortable. It’s about whether it would be right. In most cases, no. A tinkle is a different matter, but number twos should definitely be a closed door affair. It doesn’t matter how much he loves you. Seeing someone do that is sure to change the way you feel about them. Probably not for the best. Even tinkles are worth keeping private if you can. If he’s in the shower and you’re desperate, you may be able to make an exception. But, only then!

This one may not seem fair, but it’s important to note. Most men love toilet humour. Despite what they think, most of us women love it too. But, think twice before you jump into toilet humour jokes. This is especially important if he’s joking with his friends. In some, rare, cases, you may be able to get away with it. But, is it worth the risk? Do you want the responsibility of breaking the illusion that women wouldn't laugh at something so vulgar? No, didn’t think so...
