Anyone who bakes on a regular basis will tell you that it is an immensely satisfying experience - and there are many more pleasures that just enjoying the cake at the end! If you have never really understood what all the fuss is about or you needed a little push to take up the hobby yourself, we are going to give you just a few reasons why you should in this blog post. So, get those ingredients ready, turn on the oven, and let’s get started.Baking Smells Incredible
What could be better than the smell of freshly baked bread coming from Your Bread Machine or chocolate chip cookies in the oven? Not only does baking make your house smell incredible, it has also been shown to stir up powerful memories of childhood. Once you start baking, you may soon realise that you simply don’t want your house to smell any other way again!

It is a Scientific Process
Unlike the other types of cooking, baking doesn’t need the same level of natural talent or intuition. This makes it accessible to everyone. However, it does mean that you need to have close attention to detail to follow the recipes closely and measure everything out exactly. And while it is a scientific process, there is also something magical about combining these different ingredients to make something so delicious at the end!

Baked Goods Are Freezable
Once you have baked some delicious treats for your friends and family, you don’t have to be in a huge rush to eat everything all in one go as many baked goods are freezable. So, if you are ever having a last-minute get-together and you are in need of some snacks to serve, there will always be something which you can pull out of the freezer!

Baking is all about sharing. Unless you are very greedy, you are not going to make a whole batch of brownies to have all to yourself! Perhaps you are planning to bring them into work or to give to your kids. Maybe you are having a party or you simply want to cheer up a friend who is feeling a little down. Whatever the reason, baking brings people together. And it is an especially fantastic feeling when people appreciate what you have baked for them!

It is Affordable

While cooking can be expensive - particularly if you are using fine meats, cheeses, and wines - baking is much more affordable. The staple ingredients of most baked goods (flour, eggs, sugar) are cheap in comparison. Of course, if you want to make some fancier baked goods, costs can mount up a little more, but as a hobby, baking is generally a cheap one.

So, if you were on the fence about baking before, hopefully, this article has helped to give you a nudge in the right direction, and you feel inspired to bake up some treats!
