100 Days of Jules, Day 76: Watch Julianne Talk About Everything But Her Divorce For 17 Minutes

Craig Blankenhorn/NBC
Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones' 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

In a truly amazing feat, Access interviewed Julianne Hough for 17 whole minutes and didn't bring up her divorce once. The almost more amazing feat is the title of the video: "How Julianne Hough Found Courage To Talk About Race"

Brave!!

The closest the interviewer Scott Evans got to mentioning her divorce is when he asked her what life wisdom she is living by.

"I mean as simple and as easy and cliche as this is, it's staying present in the moment because the minute we attach to something that has happened in the past or something that could be in the future, we're already limiting ourself and holding on to something that either doesn't exist anymore or hasn't been created," she says. "And so, if we're living in the past or living in the future, then I mean, we're just going to be in turmoil and suffering. And so living totally in the present and knowing that you can shift at any moment right now and I think that — and again, that sounds like a lot of words and a lot of things we've heard, but when you can actually feel like you're in a bad place or a low place and make that change in the moment, you already know that you have everything you need inside of yourself and that you have that power. And so, I just, you know, looking at all the mentors that I had in my life, having gratitude comes very easy when you're in the present. Having joy comes very easy when you're in the present. So I think just in the world right now, staying present and just knowing that you have so much power within you to change yourself so that you can shift the dynamic of the people around you as well."

What :) does :) any :) of :) this :) mean :)
