100 Days of Jules, Day 97: Julianne Was In A Kid Band With Her Brother

Here is where I attempt to blog about Julianne Hough for 100 days straight. This was inspired by Allie Jones' 500 blogs on Kristin Cavallari, a much funnier read.

Before she got famous on Dancing With The Stars at the old age of 18, Julianne Hough was training in dance and music at a performing arts school in London. Mark Ballas' parents were her and her brother's teachers and she spent most of her time competing in Latin ballroom.

But Julianne, Derek, and Mark also formed a band called 2B1G, which stood for two boys and one girl. Julianne is about 11 in the clips I found online and she looks like a tiny Britney Spears. During the band's performances, Derek and Mark would take turns ballroom dancing with Julianne and sometimes one person would sing.

While Derek was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Derek tells a story about how Simon Cowell came to their home in London to watch them perform. I guess Simon wasn't impressed, however, because the pop band never took off.
